right, if i put the cold air feed straight from the tube in the engine where the airbox usually goes and run it to my iduction kit which would be placed down in the bottom grille( where the cold air feed pipe usually goes) would this make a difference, so basically..instead of running a cold air feed to the induction kit, put the tube on the induction kit to the engine, if u get me??

You mean use the cold air feed pipe as an extension pipe to move your induction cone lower down?

Not sure it's the right size.... or whether the cone will fit down there... would prolly work quite well though

I would not do this if i were you. Ideally, you want the filter to be as close to the inlet plenum as possible. Putting it further away means that the air will have more difficulty travelling into the engine. If you want better performance, leave it where it is, since this place is the best trade off for heat/length. Just feed it plenty of cold air.

Actually heres a better idea. bin the fucking induction kit, they are poo. Get yourself a nice standard airbox, drill it, fit a good K&N performance panel filter, give it cold air and you shall have better performance than any stupid sponge filter.

Drill an extra big hole approx 50 - 60 mm diameter, and run a piece of tubing from this down under headlight. There is a low/high pressure (cant remember which) area here, so the cold air is sucked up and into airbox. Or run it to your grille as you wouls with induction kit.

Or get ripped off £250 for a pipercross viper.
Just made a green twister fit on mine on thursday/friday.
Cold air feed sits at bottom of bumper.
Quieter now than me pipercross cone but got a backbox on now for noise.
Cost £155 in total, would cost bout £165/170 for all the bits for a 1.4/1.6 16v.
Drilling an air box is the cheapest way and better than just an induction kit.
