The more I think about the more I realise there are practically unlimited ways of stopping a car if you wanted to, even if it resorted to running the car along the barrier until it slowed and stalled

In 5 days I've come up with about 100 ways. In 30 secs I would have at least 5

Strange. Can't see how they can rule out suicide though.
Steering input and depressed accelerator indicate something was going on.
Did think it could be that he had applied the handbrake as suggested but there were no skid marks...

All very strange considering he was a supposed to be a competent "car guy"

But if it is suicide why call the police??

Reads to me like an awful attempt at trying to cover up his own suicide by blaming the car, hence the call to the police to create a record of events. Most likely to get a pay out from insurance, suicide having been ruled out will surely only help this now. It's the new extreme version of crash for cash, probably.
