Been after a stylish outdoor clock for a while, however all the clocks for gardens just look vintage or dated.

I want one for the garage wall which faces in to the garden, Ive always been a fan of the Karlsson Little Big Time Clock and really want to have that or one of a similar design on the wall but i have been hunting around and no one makes a weatherproof version.

Anyone got any ideas on what it would take to get an interior clock converted for external use?

I guess weatherproofing it is quite straight forward (ish) but its making it so to does not freeze is the hard part

The clock in question:

All advice welcome

I actually bought a Karlson one the other week in a copper. Not going to use it now if you fancy buying it? think it would be pretty water proof anyway as there isn't much to it.

I've got a little big clock - it's just aluminium and a standard clock movement inside. How exposed are you planning on leaving it? You could look at the waterproofing stuff Steve used in his RC truck thread to coat the moment?

Thanks Graeme but after a black one.

It would be quite exposed as it would be on a wall with the potential for rain to go against it.

I will have a look at the liquid tape, thanks

I would just spray paint one like that on your wall

Then only go outside at ten past ten - nobody will ever know

You are but to be honest the hands on that clock above look the same length to me, so it could be either way.

the bit that would be hard would be to waterproof the shaft as it is a moving part so will be hard to fit a rubber gasket or similar
