year ago i used to play HL for hours at a time, got really good at it aswell (300GBP per month phone bills 1p per min) and just wanted to see if anyone else did, as just spoke to one of my old team m8s after years

only takes about 1 and a half hours on adsl modem, worth it considering u will get hours of shooting yanks.

i play SOF2 and halflife, counterstrike, firearms, quake 2 and unreal2 online, once ran up a 7003 phone bill....
so i moved to broadband sharpish!

counterstrike is good fun, got alot of mates who take it far too seriously, I'm a great fan of quake3 arena online as well, a play a mod called UrbanTerror (http://www.urbanterror.net). other then that lately I've been playing Battlefield 1942 online, which is probably one of the best experiences online EVER and in the last few hours I've been playing Doom 2 over the net (good old UDP protocal) with a few mates

we still every few months all uproute our pcs and take them round our mates house and play halflife for like 12 hours straight.
there is normally about 10 pcs

Xs, you have seen the light, I played 1942 at a friends house online, fell in love, and now play it single player or when I go to lans, this is cause it needs at least isdn cause of the b/w it uses.

i was a serious Unreal Tournament Assualt player..it was my life for like 2 years lol- cudnt get enuf of the damn game...needless to say- i had to stop playing the game, cos of how it addictive it was, and i failed my exams cos of it.
Damn good game tho

lol corsaa1, that sucks. I suppose it easier for online gamers now with broadband/unlimited dial up accounts, damn I do remember the £300 phone bills for just being on the internet too long! was crazy.
