Planning one for the other half for christmas

Whats the best one out there?

I dont want an ipad, a lot of the features dont work up here, but android seems fine,

We both have android phones.

my dads got one, its slow and the screen is unresponsive. web browsing is quicker and easier on my iphone. started browsing cs using the tab and gave up and got my phone out

Have you looked at the Motorola Xoom? This is the one ive been looking at. I cant find any faults with it, it has an SD card slot, i was playing with it in PC World and it seemed quite fast, no lag etc. There £330 at the moment.
