so good to see that someone else has gone to the bother of doing the dash properly, its a lot of work but well worth it.

1. Remove the back of the digidash.
2. Remove the main PCB and unplug the cable connector that goes to the LCD board.
3. Remove the 3 screws for the odometer and extract.
4. Remove the LCD PCB.
5. Undo all the screws. The LCD units (in the white cases) should be able to be removed now. Do not touch the connectors on these if you can help it.
6. Dismantle the LCD units very carefully one at a time. You need to take out the piece of plastic with the yellow paint (and various other colours).
7. With around 240 grit paper carefully sand off as much of the yellow and coloured paint as possible. Ideally all the paint should be removed from this plate but this isnt absolutely necessary.
8. Wash the plastic plate and dry thoroughly.
9. Reassemble unit using the coloured film sandwiched between the LCD and the plasic plate you've just prepared.
10. Repeat steps 6 to 9 for the other 2 units.
11. As the Haynes manual says, refitting is the reversal of removal.
12. Fit dash back into car and drive off with a big smug grin on your face.
