i was on a late shift last night when one of the lads waz goin home said later laffin 2 mins later he come back to the drive thru window said what up ?
he said mar car's bin broke into!
we said nice one good joke
he said no joke
so we went out hiz stereo had bin stolen!
thay got a screwy put it nxt to the lock btwn the lock and door join punched a hole in the steelwork! then opened the door.
pulled hiz stereo out sony activ black jobbie cut all the cables they were kind enough to lock the car back up when they left
fu%^in gits! he may need a new door-lock- and steroe
poor guy!

Its an active black panel, and if its one of the older ones you can't take the face off. you need the remote to enter the key

some one i know ther car was broken into that way,was a saxo.
they took the stereo even though it didnt have the facia on. the guy still has it, whats the point no use without the facia

those units use 1 of 6 different codes, they can try finding the correct one by process of elimination, so not entirely useless to them.

Thought sony gave free theftr insurance on their active blacks aslong as you got the remote?? If so get one back off the, doubt need mew door, prob just weld over hole and re-spray

i had same sterio in my old car mk3 fiesta, had it for couple months then it went

left me the remote on the dash aswell cheeky cnuts

i had one of them when i first had my corsa

got knicked about 6 weeks after putting it in the car.

broke into it a similar way as well
