Firstly this is not for me, but for my friend who is looking to buy a new contract phone.
He wants to stay with O2, not sure why but he's insisting it's the only way.
Originally he wanted an iphone, but doesn't want to lay down any cash for the handset so has pretty much got it down to a Samsung Galaxy S, or the HTC HD7 - both of which I know nothing about.

Personally I like the HTC Desire HD, but O2 don't offer it so that's out... is the HD7 similar to the desire HD?

Any advice that I could pass on to him would be great.

A friend of mine has the Galaxy S, and he hates it, i've also played with it and think its dire!

HTC all the way if thats the only option, personally i'd get an iPhone

Ive got the galaxy S love it, get froyo on and and fully updated. best phone ive had, even better than iphone i think less restrictive. mrs had HTC HD7 and sent it back its rubbish, cudnt send anything over bluetooth from my phone to hers because the windows thing. she got the desire now and loves it,

galaxy s doesn't have a flash. I'd get an HTC desire or change networks.

Galaxy S dont really need a flash tho as it pawns in low light.
