Win what. The 'on paper' challenge. If that was all that was important then there is no point in motor racing of any kind as the most powerful car always wins.

A better way to put it would be 'should win'. This allows for reasoned argument.

it's like saying man u/arsenal will always beat blackburn because they have better players. We all know that doesn't alway happen. Why? because people have off days.

It's the same with cars, human and mechanical error comes into play.

I will happily state that the Pug 106 GTi should beat a corsa 1.6 16v but in reality it doesn't always happen.

No, the 106 owner may forget his keys, be busy receiving anal sex or be gluing back a wing mirror after it's fallen off. 106 will win hands down everytime

i overtook one in my old corsa 20let

but i dont think he was trying, i was worried i;d be embarassed, but i think he saved me the shame cos i had my girlfriend with me
