Funnily enough I thought the Brazillians got the C16SE (100bhp 1.6 8v engine)? Or is that just the pickups?

Never knew the X16 made it out there.

I'm not sure if that comment was aimed at me? I love the fact people sack a turbo on a x16xe, but that gsi in the vid did not pull like it had 380bhp.

I can't comment on that, not got YT at work.

Not aimed at any 1 person, but a few. Its just someone puts something, and the automatic reply is basically, thats BS, don't believe it......

Brunno - Quite a list, is this in the Corsa B range?

In that shape, we used..

1.0 12v
1.2 8v
1.2 16v
1.4 8v (60 SPI and 82bhp MPI)
1.4 16v
1.6 16v (109bhp C16XE and 106bph X16XE)

Plus the diesels.

1.0 16v? Where did that come from in GM's part bin? I don't know of any models with that engine, obviously the 1.0 8v are just variations for the 1.0 8v found in the Novas with added EFi

Actually the 1.0 8V became from the european 1.2 8v downsizing.

I had a Corsa B Wagon with 1.0 16V but it was not good in lower rotations. It was a too heavy car for a small block.

Now, reading the comments, I want to add that here in BR there're some engine upgraded Corsas B really powerfull and this GSi tryed on everything related on performance mods. Literally a laboratory car.

Some mechanics studies a lot and go deep in this matter. There are 2 more cars with small blocks (1.0 8V) that have incredible results. One has 245HP and a Celta with high compression head and twincharged system got 308HP.

I find it strange that GM made an engine just for the Brazilian market.

I suppose you don't get the 1.0 12v 3 cylinder in Brazil?

As I say, people should open their minds, not close them with "thats rubbish BS figure" type comments.

People in other countries do a LOT more development on their road engines. With the UK, we wait for a tuner, with the rest of the world, they do it all themselves and get mental results. Just like that Koinsenegg powered Granda.

As for 308bhp from a 1.0 8v, why not??? F1's back in the 80's were making 1400bhp from a 1.4 turbo.

Spool time may be an issue, but you can get big power. Might be totally undrivable and have about 1000rpm power band, but it can make the numbers.

Daimo, people are claiming BS purely for the fact that it's corsasport. I'd be surprised if it's not that J Da Silva character tbh.
