What sort of things can be done to x14/16xe engines/bays to make them look better. can people post up some of the best looking bays they have pictures off too.

heatshields, rustyarches ( i think thats his name ) sells them on here, coloured coded hoses.. loads of stuff really

Many easy and cheap things can be done, on my old black sport I painted the rocker cover and cam cover white and painted the inlet black, made a difference and was cheap to do.

Think you can also modify the oil cap by taking the yellow part of the cap off so your left with the black part of it

i know all the basics, painting bits , new hoses blah blah but i mean in detail on teh 14/16xe engines what can be done to make them nice to look at?

polished manifold
painted rocker cover
an exhaust heatsheild

what else could you do?

Paint bottle caps, maybe hide one or too bits into the scuttle. Battery cover/jacket too

ive got a p reg 5 door gls with 14xe, how does the battery tray come out alltogether, ive taken the black bit out but im left with another like battery shelf underneath, how do i remove this?

if you like the whole euro and smooth thing, perhaps get some smooth inner arch liners, hide as much wiring as possible, relocate the battery etc etc, few people have done it with redtops and LET's so I would imagine its possible to do it with a smallblock too.

jsut cudnt understand why half seemed to be bolted on and then the other side was welded
