Rite got my sky HD installed at the weekend in the living room and was wondering if there is a way of getting it easily put in the bedroom; could prob easily run a cable to the roof and accross down to the TV in the bedroom but what would i need in regards to cables etc? or is there an easier way? Wireless would be great!!

Not worried about multi room as dont mind having the same thing as down stairs as there is only two of us living there!! Its just for watching films we have recored in bed etc

You will need the appropriate LNB on your dish to run more than one box.

If it's just for the same thing as downstairs all you need is a coax from the box to the bedroom.

If you wanted a second box in the bedroom then you need a sky feed from a multi LNB.

although coax wont give you HD.
Depends if u want HD in the bedroom or not, if not then coax outta the RF 2 on ur sky box to the bedroom tv. Could do it with those wireless senders also.
For HD im not sure if sky has 2 hdmi outs on the back, but i imagine the only way would be to run a second HDMI up to the bedroom, which could get expensive. Unless there hdmi wireless senders

If you want to run HD content to the box, then you'd be best to run 2x cat5 and get yourself one of these;

http://cpc.farnell.com/_/av18497/hdmi-over-cat5-with-ir-extender/dp/AV18497

...but you'd also need a HDMI splitter (*).

*unless you've got a Thompson HD box with component out, then you could use these; http://cpc.farnell.com/_/50-7720/component-video-pb-pr-over-cat5/dp/AV17458 ..but would need to sort your IR signalling and audio via your 2nd run of cat5.

If it's just standard quality you're wanting... like others have said, just do a run of coax from the RF2 output and get yourself one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ANTIFERENCE-LCD-TV-LINK-MAGIC-EYE-SKY-SKY-HD_W0QQitemZ280376592002QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioElectronicsVideo_Video_TelevisionSetTopBoxes?hash=item4147bf4682&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A15%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Does it have to be HD? i got my HD installed on the saturday, bunged the fella a tenner and he then ran a cable from the HD box in the lounge (just a standard aerieal cable) up to the bedroom and then in and gave us a free remote and one of them eye things to change channel. Easiest way, if you want HD depedning on if you can run a cable through the house then this will be the best bet using a HDMI splitter if not maybe some wirless sender but then the quality you lose thorugh that will make the whole thing pointless trying to get HD upstairs (in my experience of video senders)

You dont need to have a phone line connected to the box.
If you have a home phone, just run a callback from the box when it's 1st installed and then unplug it to re-locate the box wherever..
If you dont have a phone line, you can pay Sky £25 to cover the manual setup of the box.

I never got a call from them about not having my boxes connected on my staff account after setting them up (4 Sky+ boxes, 1 SkyHD and a Sky digibox in Portugal!! ). However if they do ever question it, just tell them the box was interfering with your broadband connection so you unplugged it.

in the first 12 months it is a contractual obligation to have the box connected to the phoneline doesnt mean it wont work its just what sky want

after 12 months you are free to unplug
