My girlfriends laptop keyboard is fucked and some kets have stopped working,

whilst ive got it apart im thinking of spraying the case the same colour as her car. Would the touchpad/mousepad still work if it was painted?

i know the paint would wear away after a while but thats not a problem

I have no idea if the touchpad would work, but if the paint starts flaking it would be a nightmare - you'd end up with your hands turning the colour of the paint every time you used it.

I'd give it a miss tbh.

The touchpad won't work if you spray it.

Yeah i wouldn't spray the touchpad, it's likely that it wouldn't work again. Just stick the case, and if you can get the DVD/CD drive cover off spray that too.

Ive painted a few in the past but never done the touchpad or the keyboard (mainly as cant be arsed then labeling the keys again).

Biggest ball ache is taking it all apart, once you've done that its easy.
