right im going to look at an T reg 1.6 corsa sport on thursday and i was woundering wot are the main things to look for.

its on about 72,000 miles is there any comon problems that a corsa of this age and these many miles under it may have????

Ask... Engine-wise:

Camblet changed?

Headgasket been done?

Ask for the Service History and when the last service was... I had one that the bottom end went due to not being serviced... Cost me an engine.

Also, start it leave it for a bit and then switch it off after you looked round and open the Oil cap, I found one that shot out of my hand with the amount of pressure in there... I drove off straight away.

also check the front of the chassis near the jacking point they start to rot there and check the b pillars aint cracking

Check for excessive smoke from exhaust?
Sludge like mayo substance on oil cap?

frotn cross member, knockin noise pulling to one side, front cross member could be rot

cheers guys/gals im now the happy owner of a 1.6 sport . got few teething problems like the engine mangement light now coming on and bogging down and trying cut out on low revs but seems a good car in genral
