Yeah they've said they'll pay it back but we haven't been to sort it out yet. Until they refund it the property is off the market!

Be very careful about builders putting the price up as it could cause chaos when trying to get the mortgage i.e. if the mortgage companies don't think its worth what you have paid for it then it may affect what your actual LTV amount it.

Usually more of a problem where people ordered houses a while back but stlil possible on new ones specially with the way prices are moving around at the mo

MD has come back and said that the offer should never have been accepted at £155k as their profit threshold is £167k. He'll accept an offer of £163k which is still a good price I think considering 2 identical properties on the street sold at £195k and £185k last year?

Profit threshold is 167 but he'll just accept 163 off you anyway.

Agree with John if his threshold is £167K why would he be willing to consider less than that unless he was desperate to sell. Try him at £160K and see what he says

They won't sell it at any less now that the housing market has taken an upturn! Had a mortgage agreed in principle so going to sign AGAIN this weekend.
