If you have the choice of just the 2 then obviously a 2.0. but why consider the 1.6?
Really depends on condition of engine, your insurance? etc etc

But more detail would come in handy

I any reason why it has to be an 8 valve?

moneys very tight, like a couple hundred!

insurance isnt a problem, its going to be all stripped out and used for track days

if your on a budget you mite want 2 fink about not putin carbs on , they will constantley burn a hole in your pocket with the amount of petrol they use !

Depends what engines. Cav 130 8v on twin 40's.

the only 2.0 8v worth goin for is the SEH.

Both the big and small-block 8v's are great engines, and easily tunable.

Also leave you loads of room in the engine bay to get work done on them. Carbs sound great on them too!
