Right myself and partner don't have a desktop pc only laptops and are looking to get a printer.
Is it posible to buy a printer plug it into the wall and not have to plug it into either of the laptops?

Yeah, you can get wireless and bluetooth printers

You could also get an ethernet one if you are going to position it close to your router.
