someones making a 100" lcd too, niether will be paricularly affordable

to be honest i think LCDs and plasmas are here to stay, i don't think there is a BEST it's more down to what the end user needs out of a flat panel screen. In some cases plasma is better, in others LCDs.

eitherway, i don't think LCD is going to replace plasmas though, certainly not for a few years yet and by then oled will be on the scene as well as laser tvs (which they say will be cheaper of the two), both which are vastly superior to LCD and Plasma.

Considering an 11 inch Oled tv nearly hits the £900 - £1000 mark.... I cant see them taking off any time soon.

Not really.... because by the time they have found a cost efficient method to extend the lifetime of oled's something else would have hit the market.

possibly, possibly not, most new technologies are expensive when they first arrive on the scene, IMO OLED will eventually become cheap and the technology of choice, Sony must think so too otherwise they wouldnt be investigating th technology further
