I hated Skate when I played it, so bought Tony Hawks.

Although I haven't played it much since I have been introduced to COD4

Agreed, played the Skate demo, then the TH demo, it seemed so 'childish' if you know what I mean, no skill, just hammer buttons til a trick happens.

th is classic, so much more fun than skate, and its totally not button mashing. Well it isnt if you play it like its meant to be played

Skate is for the purist IMO.

TH is of gay and has been rumbled.

To me at least, Skate makes you feel like you really achieved something when you do a really good combo of two or 3 tricks. In TH you just remember what order to press the buttons, yes, you are skating, but they're a world apart

I feel like each game is differant on Skate, whereas on TH it's a bit samey

Would like to play through the TH game to see what it has to offer in terms of storylines, but skate has the long term appeal
