Is 1080i and 1080p two completley different things, if you have a 1080i hdtv it won't have 1080p, or 720p?

Are the ps3 games coming out going to be 1080i or p or both?

thanks

Most are 1080P, and your TV will have to be 1080P compatibile to show it.

They are very different too, P is much better than I.

sabas it wills till show the game and play perfectly fine theres not alot between 1080p and 1080i

if you have a 1080i then your xbox or ps3 will convert it to the best setting possable
ie 1080i

Will a P be alot more noticeable than I? Surely it can't make that much difference?

Correct...

TV will accept a 1080P input, but only output 1080i or 720p (most likely!)

unless your tv is bigger than (not including) 32" then you wont get any benefits having 1080p over 720p
