The Bit that sticks out of the floor in the middle thats usually sprayed the same colour of the car, how does it come out? what actually holds it on.

hmm, but doesnt that mean i cant weld it back on, i cant grind through welds i cant see anyway

even if you chop it its still easy to weld back on. im pretty sure its held on with spot welds

like holes that have been filled. you can get drills to remove them

don't use a hammer

you will be there all day. Use a drill to take the welds out....easy
