i've posted about my dillemma in general chat here - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=390714 - but my mind would be set to rest a bit if someone could reassure me about the mileage.its done 150,000 but is pulling well,isnt smoking etc.would just like to know peoples opinions on these engines when they reach the higher mileages?whats likely to go wrong if anything?!

all depends if its been looked after. If its been rebuilt like you said i cant see it been a problem. Try and find out what was done in the rebuild.
Mines done 70,000 and has had loads of problems like headgasket going and now the piston rings.
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

if the car has been serviced regularly, not thrashed merselesly i dont see why one of these engines couldnt do 200,000+
mines fortunatly only done 58k and it donesnt have one single knock or bang (now anyways after i fixed all the gasket problems)
