currently own a l reg carrabic blue sri 8v,few rust spots but pretty clean still.got bilstein shocks (oe spec) and eibach springs.ready to do the headgasket and cambelt but just been offered a l reg smoke grey (i love this colour) gsi, all origional except pipercross induction kit.its got 150,000 on the clock, but my sri has got 120,000 so neither are low mileage.lol.the gsi need mot-ing,i havnt had a proper look yet but i think it will prob need emissions sorting.it runs like a dream and pulls really well, apparantly the previous owner had the engine rebuilt at 100,000.would you keep the sri or buy the gsi?sorry for essay!
p.s. will be my daily runner to work, currently geting just under 90 miles to a tenner in the sri, would the gsi be similar?
thanks!

andy, that fuel consumption is a bit high, do you have some mods there? or do u have an extremely heavy right foot??
My 1.6 16v gets approx 150/160 for £20

not really a valid comment as your assuming that everyone pays the same at the pump. If you want to compare fuel consumption then quote mpg's

mine is a beast through 1st and 2nd fast in 3rd and pulls very well in 4th.. but it is just gsi blow running off 1.4 16v sport throttle bodies manifolds and crap and gearbox so ratio's a bit naff.. still loads faster than it was with a 1.4xe in though
