i have a 12" fli trap sub with the built in amp (nothing special)
and it cuts out after about 6 seconds of being on and sometimes doesnt work at all! another thing is, if u turn the sub itself right down for about 5mins then turn it up to normal level it will work fine (until you turn the car off and start again)
ive checked all connections & fuses. any ideas?

i was going to say it could be a poor earth or connection to the battery but uve checked them so im nt sure

amp? try running a seperate remote wire from the batter wit a switch to turn the amp on when required to eliminate the headunit

Or use a paper clip from the main 12V feed and cross it into the REM terminal instead.
