any1 know if the 1.8sri engine out of the corsa or astra would go in a corsa b?if so wot would be needed to do it?

It will go in yeah.
Wiring will probably be a right nightmare tho.

will it go in with with out any big changes?or will i need different sharfts or cv joints gear box engine mounts?

i wouldnt even consider it unless your planning on running aftermarket management, the actual fitting would be relatively straightforward but i remember a guy on here who struggled to get one to run even in another corsa c

Think i know who your on about, friend of mine who tried it and from what he told me was constantly having all types of nightmares, ended up burning a hole in his pocket and never actually got it to run properly in the end so sold it, i'd say dont bother unless, as suggested already, you run standalone management, just my 2p's worth!

Its due to the can-bus/cam-bus system cant remember which will dig up the thread wasn't long ago.

Its about putting a c20let in a C though

But think would have the same problem putting a C engine into a B

its been done by V tunning a few times with no major agro the lad from corsa-b.co.uk with the kawasaki green and black corsa show how well it can be done

why would you want to be different from a proven, effective, reliable way of fitting a new engine for more power?

use the x18xe1? wiring is much simpler. wouldnt bother unless it was going to be a serious track car though. only real benefits are that its lighter. take a look on migweb a guy on there (lee303) is using one in his nova. says the casting/design is very good on the engine too
