i fitted a solenoid to my boot so now need to cut away the safety latch, but i dont no what part to cut? can someone point it out?





i thought it was the first metal knuckle bit but trying to cut that, even with an electric jigsaw was going nowhere fast

adjust the solenoid, should have to cut anything wen fitting one

the solenoids fine but the weight of the boot doesnt get it past the safety. so i have to pull the boot whilst popping thge solenoid, or get rid of the safety

You dont need to cut anything, fit it to the rod that you "pull"

theres tons of posts on this and i no a lot of people have done it.

its nothing to do with the solenoid, it opens and it pops it BUT, the weight of the boot makes it go past the safety latch and get caught

its a safety thing, you need to grab the boot when you push to release tge solenoid

put a spring on the bottom of it so that when u pop the boot it opens, hits the spring and wont go back to the safety
