hey all im new to this so thought id start by telling a little bit about myself!

right well im now an old 22, feeling pretty pre-historic but hey life goes on!

right well when i was younger i had a 14.8v corsa sri as my first car, loved it! but unfortunatly untastful mods got the better of me! anyways sold it in 2003ish for £1000. then got myself a saxo vtr (french shite)! although i liked it sold it for £3500 in 2005 where i got myself a nice company lease car bmw 3 series coupe.... 3 litre!! whoop whoop! anyways still getting bmws through lease, get my new shape 3 series coupe m sport! anyways during that time i entered the stage of road rallying!

i got myself an old 205 gti.... put a few things on to make it suck a little more air in, and a tasteful exhuast and we were away, tearing round the lanes and backroads at silly times of the night!

finally it decided to give up..... in rather spectacular fassion i must admit......

so here i am back with a corsa 1.4 8v sri reading a little and finding out a few problems!

so far im getting the 1.6 airbox and air flow jobby (cnt think of the correct name) and will be modifing it to get some extra throttle response through a few extra holes and a little better air routing. and is it also advisable to wrap it all the the aluminium heat sheild stuff?

ive also got myself a new ecu from the 1.6 meaning its tuned slightly different!

at the moment the exhaust is standard although im thinking of gettin myself a sports cat and back basically... good idea?

as for the outside its unfortunatly the caribic blue.... hmm... so ill be spraying it either blue or red within time! also got mud flaps as in WRC style ans some speedline 14" sxi wheels which are pretty much perfect for my rallying!

ive also just got myself some astra gsi calipers and shall be getting discs and pads soon so i can stop a little quicker!

anyone got any views or ideas about what else i could do.... feel free to drop me a line!

cheers, Dan

What 1.6 ecu have you got? It will run shite with that fitted, and flood your engine...

Leave the 1.4 one on.

skim the head, right down as much as you can go, fit a 4 branch manifold, a fast road cam, and get it tuned up! winner

Is it going to be used in enduros aswell? In which case engine mods will be minimal. You can still get away with light head work.

You could get it gasflowed and skimmed. Standalone management is also legal, not really worth it on a hardly tuned engine but nice if money permits. Im not sure what the rules on brakes are. I dont think you could get away with larger discs though, uprated pads should do though. Some Mintex 1144s or similiar.
