I have a corsa 1.4sri 8v its getting on a little now and i wanted to make sure its going to keep going.
I wanted to change the head gasket but was a bit worried with working with vavles only used to rebuilding 2 stroke bikes tbh.
Can you just unbolt the head and take it off with the vavles still connected to it or is it a case of take all the valves out then reseat them
Apart from head gasket would there be anything else i would need to replace if i took the head of ?
The other thing is going to be the cam belt.
Would it just be ok to mark the engine with chalk or a scriber and then mark the pullys when the belt is on so i knew where it was before ?
That's all i can really think of for major work on my engine
thanks...

8v's are eeeeeasy.
Nice afternoon job.
Make sure you torque the headbolts up correctly.
