hi
just a quick one finally got round to having a quick glance in the latest tv mag at dinner time and the section were they have a rolling road day a corsa 1.2 8v spi came last as you could of expected but how the hell did it reach 70bhp standard apart from an air filter?
i thought they were 40bhp new?
left my mag at work so not had chance to read it all but is it just me missing something because i havnt read it or is that what it says?

i think sometings wrong, sure my 1.2 16v sxi apparently puts out about 60bhp standard
my last corsa 1.2 8v was no where near as quick (and the sxi aint quick lol)
44bhp/45bhp for a standard 1.2 8v engine?

im thinking its a 1.4spi they were closer the 60bhp mark so maybe the tester got confused as the engines look the same

What Ste said/\ lol
In theory the RR operator can make it read whatever he wants, by temperature compensation, transmission losses etc etc.
Im sure the owner of the car would know what engine it had.
