When my headlights are on, the dials are lit very dimly, they use to be a lot lighter and also the clock and date display goes dimmer when i turn the lights on?? does anyone know how to correct this or what is causing it??

they all do it.

Have you adjusted the dash dimmer to the brightest setting?

Its so it doesn't "blind" you at night.

i dint know i had a dash dimmer, i have a 1998 1.4 sport. no they are hardly visible now, they were perfect before!!

The dimmer is under the headlamp switch.

its a small wheel type thing that you turn to the right to make it brighter
