I rang sky today to cancel as im fucked off with paying £37 a month and hardly watching anythign apart from living and bravo

So i told the woman on the phone we were gunna go to virgin as its cheaper and i moaned about rubbish movies, repeats on channels all the time

So they have offered me a free sky plus box, free installation and my channels for £18 minus the movies being installed Monday!

Advice for anyone over their 12 month contract with Sky, call them and tell them your gunna cancel and see what they can do for you!

i used to work for virgin media......you have to say you want to cancel all your services and when you get transfered to customer relations, thats when the haggling starts

yeah those were simple downgrades that i used to do...

you actually need to say "i want to cancel ALL my services with you as ive found a better deal" then they to actually do something

I rang cancellations, call customer services and say you want to cancel, then they will put you through

Mention moving to virgin media and see what they say

my mate did what you you did ally, so he told 1 of his mates to do it.
when he rang they wouldnt give him jack and said his contract was cancelled.
i think it all depends on who you get on the other side.

It's down to what you say I think, and probably whether the operator is having a bad day or not .

Asking them to cancel will get what you want because they'll presume your not interested in the services anymore, telling them your cancelling because your going elsewhere indicates it's still possible to get money out of you!
