drove car this morning got up to 90 degrees so give it a blast to 4k out of a junction as i do this temp gauage goes up to 93 degrees, thought that was strange,, anyway it dropped back to nignty, over took somone on a bypass and went up again, me puzzled now and i pulled into town and sat at traffic lights for 30 seonds (not long ebnough for it to heat up) but it was at 98 degrees at this point, why is my car egtting hot, and all levels are ok checked them? anyone?

Faulty temp sensor, maybe.

tis what i was thinking, but then why would it be working as usual other than warm up when drivign it hard and get extremly hot quickly

My mate had this problem, it was getting crazy hot for no reason. It turned out to be just an air lock in one of the pipes. I'd check that before anything else..

probably air lock or a faulty thyermostat, sounds normalish to me though.
