tell them your car had broken down and you couldnt move it, also you have no money to pay the fine after paying for the car to be fixed!

should be able to get off if they have wrongly identified the car.
PS... if you'd parked where you shouldnt then just take the fine and learn from it!

If they got the registration correct, then, I guess it makes no difference what they describe it as.
If on the other hand, it doesn't have a reg written down, say that you shouldn't pay it, because it looks like it was moved from car to car.

even if they do have the registration written down it's not the end of the world. after all cars and reg' numbers can be cloned, so just claim its not your car.

many times wardens take pictures though.
so even if they got it wrong could still do you, they did it to me - said my car was black when it was blue but had a picture so they could correct their databas or watever legally.
you might as well contest it ecause if you do the fine when it comes back is still 30 quid instead of 60 if you dont pay it.
