2.0 ltr ones - i have serched but nothing has brought back a positive answer.
Buying a 2ltr Very soon, but i can only put it in the week before PVS.
Now i know people have "running in problems".
Is this when a rebuild has occured? Or can it happen to an engine that Was working perfectly in the doner car that has been put into my car?
Also as the engine is not being taken apart, will running in be nessesary?
Is a week to little to do a conversion? going hard at it all day every day?
Please only post if you know what your talking about - i cannot really afford "it should do" advise!
Thanks you guys

a week should be ok providing you've got everything you need and you know what your doing. these things no go to plan and every job has a minor techincal problem, which could delay you

TBH, me and my dad dont know everything we are dong, But hopefully when we help to take the engine out, then we will understand a few more things.
He is also a Engineer/Macanic (spelling) - AA patrol man
So understand engines etc already.

the electrics are a worry though,
The ECU and loom - Is this plug and play? or does it require re-wiring?

the loom is plug and play providing you've got the c20xe loom as the loom in your car wont fit iirc

dont know if i should reply
the lom will just need a few wires joining together . if the engine has been running fine in the other car. u shouldnt have any problems, but u may have things like the odd water leak but nothing major. a full week o it and u should have it done if u have never done one be4. best to take it easy for a few hundred miles once its first fitted.
