Took my dizzy cap off a minute ago, and its burnt to fook! AND the rota arm it practically welded on and isnt going anywhere!! Suprised it still runs, gota go n get new dizzy n arm from halfords 2moro and the bush on my rear shock is fooked aswel, hence all the banging, been told the car could roll if i took a right hand turn to sharply Any1 know how much a dizzy cap and rota arm is for a 1.2??

Go in and ask them for a trade card. They are free.
Tell them that you are not a mechanic but trained and you are always working on your and mates cars all the time. Or if you are a mechanic take in a wage slip to prove it.
The cap will go from £10 to something stupid like £2.

Just get one from a motor factors, screw halfords.
I paid £5 for my 1400cap, and about £3 for the arm.
The rotor arm should be solid and not move, it only turns when the engine turns over.

Sorry steve, go in where and ask for a trade card, halfords??
The reason i say halfords is because i got a £10 voucher for them so might aswel use it

Yeah, but they are sometimes very tight.
Sometimes i've had to hammer them off,lol.
But other times they just pull off

Yea, thats what i ment, we tried leavering it off with a flat headed screwdriver and the rotor arm snapped lol
