I'm hoping to st work on my boot build soon, but i have some questions. I have just got a rear strut, so it doesn't leave a lot of room really. I was thinking about going forsomething like this:

would i need to make a box to put the sub into or just make a raise floor? i would also need some where to fit he two amps that i have, but i don't know were. Any help on that front? i still needto check rear that i would have the room as ihave a 15" In Phase sub

well you could, but that wood is quite tough,i think you might struggle, the box is designed to be sealed which gives it the punchy sound, check out www.autoacoustics.com it might help.

best way to make a false floor or way i found the best was take out the old carpet if you still have it, draw around it and cut it, see if it fits which it wont, you will need to just keep cutting down bit by bit until it fits nearly flush which it wont but as tight as you can get it so it wont slide, take it out build the box measuring so its the right hight and flush with the highest point when boot is open, then the hard part measure up the area where the false floor will sit, i used the carpet as a guide then made mods to it till it was right, sand it down so it fits nicely, put the bottom and the sides together, get it in the boot, fit your carpet to the top then attatch that, taking into account that you have already cut your sub hole and any other mods u want such as amp inside the box light up or whatever, build your frame which sits on top, very easy just hard to get it all straight, add carpet to that, put ur sub in done deal.. i got one of my mates to work out the right depth and width i needed on the box to give out best sound so i made the box to suit that.. do have a picture of the first boot build i did but it wasnt very good as it was my first try, doing my fibre glass full boot and back build at some point next month, should be fun.. goodluck.. and even though its anoying as hell, think of how cool it will look.. btw packing all that wood into the boot does make your car alot heavier and slower.

Looks good enough but if you want to show the sub as if its sat in that top panel... you will need to incorporate the box into the entire panel or make sure its dead flush otherwise it will look pants
