am i right in thinking a 8v alt will bolt sraight onto a 16v? given i have the bracetry

i want to put a v belt alt and lower pulley on my engine instead of the ribbed tensioner setup i have on there now

why not just change the pullys?

well there is that, but the std alt is fixed in place im removing the pas
