Basically I think i need a new battery as i have had to jump start my car a couple of times when i have had the lights on or radio for about 5-10 mins without engine running. The headlights seem to dip when i put the heaters on aswell i checked all connections and put the battery on charge.

New battery needed? plus how the hell do you get the battery out as i have undone the nut to the left of the battery and it still wont shift

cheers

first of all you could try leaving your electricals off until you start the car and see if it still happens? If it still wont start then it is losing its charge so you will need a new one

do you do lots of short journeys, at slow speeds (like city driving / traffic jams)? I would assume this means the battery isnt being charged fully?

If not then it probably is a new battery, is it the standard one from new (what year is the car)?

mine was like that. leave lights on 5 mins and car dead. until one day i had to jump start it every time even wi no electrics on. so jus got new one and now fine. urs will jus be worn out. once u unscrewed it all u got to yank it out with bit of force.

i had the exact same problem, if it's not holding a charge you need a new battery.

i bought a new one from halfords (3 yr warranty) for £60. then i saw another (an Excel battery which i think is a pretty good make) for £40 with a five year warranty.

shop arround first!
