hi had my head gasket finally done 2day and the car feels alot better to drive and seems to run gud now but.... i picked the car up and seemed quite hot like it had been on a long run as the lad said he had been on a long drive to test it make sure all was good! as i drive about 4 miles i get to KFC drive through so its ticking over nicely but the temperature gage got to 100c is this normal? maybe the fan hadnt kicked in yet or something just wanted to know to make sure thanks

Not a good idea! The system is presurised and hot water can blast into your face! Read what it says on the cap

Also, so long as the fan kicks in there is no problem of the car getting hot and then cooling when standing still. It's only if it starts to get hot even when you are moving that you have a problem......
