hi
a recently had a little bum in car and the inlet for air box broke off. i was wondering will it depemental to the engine not to replace it or will it suck in hot air from the engine?

Hot air, depending on where its broken off. Also you don't want stones and tramps getting sucked onto your engine.

if it's broke before the filter you dont have much to worry about.

if it's after then i'd look into replacing it.

well it is just the bit that goes from front bumper to box that short plastic bit that attaches at a little hole in front of bumper the actual box is fine
