I've got a boot pop set up in my boot, and I was just wondering is it suppost to open fully as mine just clicks off the lock.

I've got it wired to my rear wiper so when I click it forward it click off the lock but doesnt open so I have to wait til it clicks again but pull the boot at the same time to get it to open, is this normal?
