Bonjourno amigos!
I'm trying to remove the original standard cd player from my corsa, im not sure where i release it from its case, could someone please point me in the right direction before i start jabbing at it with a screwdriver! pics attached!

thats just the standard one that comes with the car when u buy it, so no i dont have removal ones for that, i didnt have any in my old car and still got it out, i just cant see where to remove it on this one, it only has a gap one side which could fit it in

I know its the standard unit?!
You do need ISO cage removal keys that you are supposed to insert into the front of the unit to remove it.
Look at the faceplate, 2 holes on the left and the right. The keys should have been inserted in there once you removed the grub screws.

ah right, i thought it would be them, the 2 small holes either side? so need an ISO removal key, shitfords should have them shouldn't they?

They do indeed.
There are two types :


You need the first set.
Insert them into the holes until you feel it click (DO NOT SHOVE THEM ALL THE WAY IN), then gently pull the front of the unit and it should come free.

If they keys don't work too well, you may find it useful to remove the ashtray as you can get your hand behind the headunit - the cage goes all the way to the back though so make sure you don't try pushing that as you'll never get the headunit out.

i cut up a wire coathanger and pushed a piece into each hole, then pulled the HU from the back. Worked for me

i used 4 long thin nails and pulled it out from under the ash tray
