Just bought a new one for my '97 1.5TD Corsa this morning from a Vauxhall dealer. 172 + VAT for just the alternator (no fitting). You can get them a lot cheaper on ebay for a recon non Vauxhall unit.
Mine was a rare-ish one with the brake vacuum pump and rev counter pick up on though.

would cost about £30 from a scrappy.
