if you dont tax your car on the 31st will you lose a month ?

I lost a month when I taxed my car, can't remember when I did it though. If I had waited till the next day (couldn't because it was booked in for a service) then it would have been taxed for that month.

just been to do tax it havent lost a month
that only happens if you buy a car in the middle of the month and have to tax it or something
