my wheels are 42 atm so if i get 7mm machined off will that make them et 49?

i work for a shot peening company and all the parts that come in are precision machined so gonna use one of those companies to do it

Good luck in staying safe with maching 7mm off your wheels! I think 3mm is considered 'safe' and anything above that is dangerous. et42 should be fine anyway.

agreed! i wouldnt have anything machined off mine personally as you are making the wheel less strong plus its too much hard work when you can buy a wheel with the right offset in the first place! like i say mine are an offset of 42 and i have no problems what so ever and mine is lowered 40mm!

if 3 is safe then get 3 off mark to make them et45, thats what mine is and iam down 60mm,

I'd trust them to do a good job, but its all down to the wheel in the first place, not how precisely they can shave a few mm off them. 7mm is too much!
