WebGuide4 is now available.

quote:

WebGuide allows you to remotely schedule and manage your recorded television programs, music, pictures and videos on your Media Center or Windows Vista PC. Install WebGuide on your Media Center PC and access it from any machine that has a web browser.

On top of that, you setup shares to access your Photos, Videos, Music and play them from anywhere that has a browser.

It will only work with IE7 of firefox.

I gotta say, ive only been using it an hour or so, and im hugely impressed. A must have for anyone who is serious about their media center.

Sounds good, I dont use my Media Centre to record TV i just use it so i can watch divx films on my 360 but being able to view my pictures anywhere sounds superb! Will try and and post back how i found it

edit: Whoah there, it needs .net framework 2 and the 360 wouldnt work with that when i last installed it so canceled the download

Oh well, sound's cool as fook though! Will install it before i rebuild my PC again to see how it works

lol.. well here goes:

ip now removed

username: test
Password: drive

MUST USE IE7 / FIREFOX

Im currently experiencing a couple of issues with folder artwork (i.e folders showing the dvd covers etc which is how its setup on MCE) but i will have that fixed shortly.

It will be Incredibly slow as im hammering the downloads at the moment at home.

Ive also disabled the TV Guide/Recording/Scheduling incase anyone decides to record and fill up my hard drive.. but you get the idea.

and dont try playing the videos/ music as it will take far too long to download.

Im sure it would be better if i wasnt downloading. Its also very quick over the lan.

Holy shit, speed is pants but if your downloading then that will explain it.

What about it working over a LAN?

its very quick over LAN.
You can stream the videos / recorded programs easily with good quality, no stuttering.

Im d/loading about 5 films atm, and that media PC is also wireless.

check out the list of films.. all 9 series of friends, afterlife, extras, futurama etc
