got my car up un ramps earlier to start sortin my aircon and noticed this thing leaking, not 100% sure what it is but guess its somethin to do with the power steerin. would tightening it up sort it or might it be somethin worse? how worried should i be?

mines got a little bit of leakage too, wont be worried until it nackers up

looks like a seal has gone on the rack.
get it repaired of replaced, clean it all up first see if it reappears, and lok above it,. see if anything is leaking onto it

pressure relief valve.......dont worry about it untill it starts pissing out 
even when it does, its just a matter of replacing the seal

does the steerin system have a prv? thought that was only for the engine
oil?

prv eh, how easy is the seal to do and how much and where from? better have it fixed if its easy

steering has one too.......yep the engine oil pump also has one...
IIRC its a fibre washer that sits under the bolt...similar to a sump washer

reckon abit off ptfe mite sort it or better off with a new washer?

out of interest where do they vent to? couldnt see where it would when i was under it. cheers matey

to be honest mate im not entirely sure....best get it up on the ramp again and have another peek lol
could also be where the one way valve goes.......if there isnt a vent :S
take it out, clean it, put a new washer on there and see if it leaks again is all i can suggest

its goin 2b on the ramps for a week or 2 anyway got 2 swap my aircon pump. ill have another look 2moro. thanks for the help mate, appreciate it
