possiblely, but more than likely if its the 1.6 16v the valve stem seals

yeah could do leo coz i think i will have a go replaceing the valve seals and see if its thats whats causing my car to burn oil if not piston rings

broken or worn valve seals can cause it to burn oil i think. its some where to start anyway.
you can get full gasket seats off ebay for about £30 and they include all the gaskets you will need and vlave seals.

do u not think it could be the rocker cover gasket? if ur gettin oil on the plug?

on the electrode will either be the stem seals or rings
do a compression test and a wet test to check the condition of the rings then youll know what has gone

as adam said, it is essential to have a compression test. does it burn any oil on start-up? if so its likely to be stem seals.

am not sure when i start it up there is smoke sometimes? its when i cheak the oil a month later it down to min?
