now, when my corsa is working ok, its a brilliant little car, i rarely cain it, but i do have the rare occasion where i like to put my foot down. but on the whole, im too concerned about how much petrol i have to put my foot down!!

recently, the whole car seems to have given up on me!!

theres a nasty ticking noise, which i have been told is the cam bearing, sounds awful when the car is cold, but dies down when the engine is hot!

a few weeks ago i had a new idle air control valve put in, because the revs were sticking at 2000rpm constantly!

yesterday whilst drvinv through norwich city centre my breaks decided to stop working had the rac come out, and the rear shoes and cylinders need re-newing!

also, when the engine is cold, it starts perfectly, but if its just a bit warm, it dont want to start!! it will fire up, but then splutter for around 10-15 seconds then lie down and die! (which is a pain in the fucking arse at a busy petrol station

and also, i just had a new mid pipe fitted at quick fit, and they didnt fit my back box properly, so it keeps coming loose, so i have to go back there and get that sorted too!

now every week i check oil levels etc etc, and basicly go over the whole car and make sure its all up to par..

now, the main question i have to ask is...

is everyone else's corsa as un-reliable as mine, or did i just buy a shitter!

sounds like u may have had a sh*tter! I dont think corsa r the most reliable car ever but I've only had my head gasket and a few bits of wiring gone wrong since Ive had mine. Best bet m8 is to get ur car fully serviced so mechanics can have a good look @ ur car!

i was looking for a new car, as i just got a rebate, and i didnt even have a corsa in mind, because they were out of my price range, but i see a corsa sport going very cheap....

i know what ur 10 min spluttering is, i had the same problem after fitting an ebay centre section. its the back pressure. my tip would be to put your standard exhaust, on and just change the back box for now. hopefully that will help things
