bought some neons off ebay to go in the footwells of my car and when they come they wasn't what i expected. I assumed they would be able to click into cigarette lighter but they just come with wires.

can any1 help???

you need to cut the wires so that your left with a switchable live and an earth,

If they are the ones that most people have you need to end up with a long yellow wire with the switch and short black one, simply connect the yellow to a igniton feed (ciggy lighter/radio ignition live) and an earth (any body screws or just tap into an existing earth such as the ciggy lighters or the radios.
